A DePIN Solution for A Better Internet

Twitter Telegram

1) Is deRoute a content delivery network (CDN)?

A: No. deRoute is a transport layer protocol, that allows developers to transport not only static content, but also programmable data. Combined with other infra such as IPFS, to build a CDN on top of deRoute is possible.

2) Is deRoute a VPN?

A: No. deRoute is not a VPN. However, an application built on top of deRoute, called "deSocks", implements parts of VPN's functions. It allows users to hide their IP addresses and get access to blocked sites.

3) How do you judge whether miners are making contribution?

A: We implements an algorithm called "Proof of Connectivity", that select N random miners from the pool, and let them report the connectivity of each other.

4) Why do you choose to build deRoute on top of TON?

A: First of all, the goal of the project is to provide users an open internet, which aligns with the idea of TON and Telegram. Secondly, some of deRoute's appliactions can integrate very well with TON and Telegram, for example, deSites users can use telegram mini-apps to manage their web contents.
